World’s Tiniest Range

Andy Hostettler was hiking near the Santi Mountains in Switzerland when he had a thought: What if an everyday tool could have the loveliness of a mountain range? His steel knives may look ordinary from afar, but get closer and a tiny replica of a real mountain range appears along the serrated edge. Great for cutting bread or slicing fruit, the design comes in three ridges: the Denver Front Range, Jackson Teton Range, or Salt Lake Wasatch Range. It makes a memorable gift for campers, skiers, and nature lovers alike. Designed by Andy Hostettler. Made in Switzerland.

Andy Hostettler thought of his clever mountain range knives in just a day. He was touring Lake Constance near Ermatingen, Switzerland. As he gazed at the awe-inspiring Sänti Mountains, he thought: How can I capture this emotion and memory in a design? Thus, his steel knives were born. Today, Andy and his small team transform breathtaking visuals into functional designs. They live and work in Ermatingen, Switzerland.
