I bought this gift for my Mom's birthday and she was blown away by how personal it was. She couldn't wait to turn each page and see the fun designs and prompts. It was my mother's 60th birthday and as I get older, I realize more and more how much there is still to learn about my mom. She has so many personal, funny, and heartfelt memories that her and I have yet to share. This book is the PERFECT way to get to know the sides of each other we don't know yet. I will treasure our letters written together and to keep it as a family album of sorts.
This is great!
My mom is sentimental, especially since she has moved and is far away from the rest of the family. I wanted to get this so my children could pass it down over time. Wish I had this stuff from others in my ancestry! She said it's really neat as she's done the first activity. Loves it!!
I am using this product as a Christmas gift.
This is a wonderful item for bonding with my adult daughter that lives far away from me.
This is a great opportunity for a mother and daughter to connect with one another and actually write down some of the most important things between them.
Just a fabulous idea, especially for adult kids/moms who live far away from each other. Very sweet, perhaps a little kitschy, but I can't imagine a mom that wouldn't love getting this. Great gift for the mom that has everything.
My Mom and I have always enjoyed sending letters and cards to each other and I thought this would be a great gift for her 70th birthday. I was excited when it came and thought it had a fun and clever design. Unfortunately, as I was going through the scrapbook portion, I realized that it would never work for us. There's a whole section that talks about pregnancy, how did you feel, what cravings did you have. My Mom wasn't able to have a baby of her own and I'm a truly loved child of adoptive parents. There are also many families that don't include men, and the photos that are printed on the pages are sadly very homogeneous. I'm sure that the artist behind this had nothing but good intentions and I praise her for that. It just guides in the direction of one type of family, and I wish it would allow a more personal experience. I'm disappointed that I can't present it to my beautiful and remarkable Mom, simply because she doesn't check all the boxes. That said, Uncommon Goods has never let me down, and I will be a customer for life. I'm sure I can find something else that will make my Mom smile.
It's going to be a great thing to do together with Mom! Also, a great thing to continue, and share, with the next generations.
The item is cute and sweet. However, it was a little expensive for what I got. Wish the cards would have been bigger and a little more things included. Like a dainty mother daughter bracelets or something. Not anything expensive but meaningful.
