One Small Step for Your Stapler

Short of convincing Elon Musk to send you into space so you can own your own piece of lunar real estate, you can display this scale model on your desktop. Bombarded by meteors for millions of years, the Moon is covered with iconic craters like Tycho, Copernicus, and Posidonius. Crater craftsman Dan Greenberg creates this three-inch-square representation of Posidonius from artist-grade plaster, which he hand colors and textures for a detailed representation of the lunar feature. The wood base—your own personal moon base, you might say—includes the exact location of the crater so you can locate it with a telescope or, eventually, in your solar-powered rover. Complete with clear plastic display stand, it makes a distinctive gift for your favorite space geologist. Handmade in Tampa, Florida.

Pretty and minimalist, but with great detail. My Dad liked looking up the craters and features on that section of the moon.
