Sarah Hirneisen creates unique and fetching jewelry and tableware inspired by her love of glass and vintage textile patterns. Each piece is kiln-formed, and the layers and choices of color bring depth and a modern edge to her work. Hirneisen is the owner and artist of her own line of handmade products, called Mediums to Masses, which she founded in 2005.
Hirneisen received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, with a concentration in glass. She studied at the Studio at Corning Museum of Glass and Rochester Institute of Technology. In addition to creating and managing production at glass studios in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and California, she has been working with glass for over a decade.
