The only litter box that my lab cannot get into!
I really love this box. I hesitated because of the price, but feel it's definitely worth it. My kitty has had zero problems with it. The design is great. The lid, liner and box itself feel quite sturdy. I recommend it.
We got this litter box for Christmas last year, and were excited to replace our old ugly litter box. Our cat, however, was less than excited. He is about 7 years old and did not want to use the new litter box. For about a month we had two litter boxes going in one room to transition him from the old one to the Mod Kat. Slowly we decreased the amount of litter in the old box, and gently coaxed him to use the new one. Eventually he got the picture, but not before he peed in our plants a couple of times. Now he uses the Mod Kat without a problem. This box is a little on the small side, even though our cat is smaller than others. The litter tracking, however, has been drastically reduced, a big plus. There are still a couple of 'crumbs' on the floor after each use though. The only real disappointment we have is that the lid lock (and only method to keep the lid in place without falling into the litter box) broke 10 months into use. Right now we are using a heavy duty twist-tie to keep it in place, as the replacement lids are pricey. Not sure what could have prevented this, if anything. Other than this minor mishap, we love the looks of the litter box and don't mind that it is in our bathroom for all to see. The overall footprint is smaller than our previous one, which is a big plus.

The only litter box I can ever own. It just looks like furniture, not some after thought. You can tell whoever designed this has a cat or two and cares about the look of their home.

I love this litter box. There is no more irritating litter on the floor. My cat enjoys hopping into it-- she thinks its a game. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. It is definitely worth the money, because I am never going to have to fantasize about getting a different litter box again.

I was worried that I would spend a lot of money for a product that my cat would ignore. NO PROBLEM. He was jumping in to investigate even before I had added the litter! I added this as a second litter box in an upstairs room (the old one is in the basement) and didn't want the size or the appearance of the standard box. The yellow box actually matches the color of the walls but is still pretty big. There is definitely less mess on the floor than with a standard box, but not zero - about half the time the cat bypasses the "roof" and simply leaps entirely out of the box to the floor. The box is easy to clean with the tipping lid, and since I use flushable wheat-based litter it is much easier to scoop a clump and take it to the toilet with this box than with the traditional covered box with front entrance. Overall, if you are willing to spend the money, this is a really nice cat box.

As expected, it took a while for my two tabbies to get used to it, and it really depends on the cat's personality. One jumped right in two hours after I put it where the old one was. The other, who hates hates hates change, [*] on my Love Sac and in the bedroom to let me know what he thought of it. So I put a small cardboard box with littler ON TOP of the Mod Cat and he miraculously went in that for a few days. Then I removed it. One more [*] job in the bedroom corner was it, but that was a week ago and he only uses Mod Cat with my other tabby. I love how: easy it is to clean, does not smell (unless kitty does not cover business), and there is absolutely no tracking. It looks good, I feel hip and hopefully so do the cats. I just wished it wasn't so expensive.

I reviewed this product recently, noting that my finicky cats would not use it. However, after some intensive coaching, they are both now using the box. I'm not sure they are particularly happy about it, but they ARE using it. The litter surface area is half the size of my previous box (which was a plastic under-the-bed storage box that is larger than most litterboxes sold in Petstores). I now recommend this product for kittens AND adult cats (excluding geriatrics), but do recommend that you get, at a minimum, one box per cat. Otherwise, be prepared to clean it throughout the day. Fortunately, it looks cool enough that you can put it practically anywhere.

This would be the perfect litter box if only my cats would use it. The top entry requires some acrobatics, and if your cat is older, large, or just plain finicky about landing on its own waste products, the top entry is not suitable. This would be a great box for new kittens but cats used to traditional walk-in units may never adjust to this. It looks great in my pantry and complements any modern interior with its sleek, clean lines. Too bad mine has to be boxed back up and put in the garage for future cats.
