Nothing better than a box filled with a finished order for uncommongoods 🎉 I hope you had a fun 4th of July weekend!! I think everyone got drunk and ordered fruit hammocks and I’m not mad about it. I’ll be filling orders this week and have a workshop with goosethemarket to look forward to 😍 it is sold out (ty!!!), but we added a second one on July 22 and I would love to eat a bomb charcuterie board, drink wine, and get knotty with you 🍷🪢💃🏻

Let's Hang

Being delicious and nutritious is hard work. Give your fruits (and veggies too!) a well deserved break with a hammock of their very own. Lesli Lenover macramés each one by hand from cotton rope, knotting it around two wooden dowels at either end. She even includes four complimentary hooks for hanging underneath a cabinet, freeing up the counter space below. Now even produce that doesn't need the fridge can take some time to just, well, chill. Handmade in California.

Illinois native Lesli Lenover earned a degree in exercise science, then got a job offer in San Diego and took off for the West Coast. After attending a macrame workshop and falling in love with the craft, she began making her own pieces as a way to unwind after work. A month later, she began selling her crafts online, and grew her business over the next few years. Now Leslie has quit her day job, teaches macrame workshops herself, and sells her knotted crafts--like her signature fruit hammock--full-time.
