A wonderful personal way to let someone know you are thinking about them. It's pretty, quiet and won't intrude with noisy alerts.

Great light with long cord. We first tested it over Facetime and got a kick out of watching it change. What a meaningful way to show someone you are always thinking of them. Warms the heart.
It was very difficult to get both lamps up and running. The directions seem clear but there are a lot of variables that aren't discussed. Luckily I was able to figure it out and it turned out fantastic! It was worth the struggle setting up. My kids love to touch the lamp and know their grandparents are seeing it. So much fun!

I love this product. It's a very unique concept and only sold here at uncommongoods. My only complaint was how cheaply made the lamps are. They're plastic and there was paint missing on parts right out of the box. It's a bit expensive for a plastic lamp.
Knowing my son is thinking of us, warms my heart
When it works, this is a great product - love seeing the colors light up and change. We've had issues with it going offline - and it's been a challenge to get re-connected and there is little to no support system. Simply trial and error and the luck of the wifi (or so it appears).

I purchased two of these—one for myself and one for my sister that lives 900+ miles away. I thought it was a wonderful gift idea and have wanted to get these for a while. I got mine first and just finished the setup which took longer than expected—about an hour. It flashed through all the colors repeatedly while I was painstakingly trying to get it online and registered. It gave me a migraine. Unless I'm missing something there doesn't appear to be a way to adjust the brightness of the lamp or the option to turn it off/standby mode. I want to be able to light up when she touches it, but I don't want it on right now. I don't see anyway to turn the light off. I hate this. I was also hoping to use it as a nightlight or soft light around bedtime in addition to its primary use which is to stay in touch, but it doesn't offer a lot of options. I'll see how my sister likes it. If she's less than thrilled we will have to go through the grueling process of returning them. I'm so disappointed already. I feel sick. Almost $200.... 🚽
With just a tap of the lamp, we each can leave a message to eachother that we are "thinking of you". It puts a smile on ny face and warms my heart every time I see it glow pink, the cooler she selected to say "hi". I give it a tap to send her a blue "hi" right back!

My best friend lives half way across the country from me and I was trying to come up with a really great Christmas gift for her. Then I saw these lamps and thought what a great way to communicate with each other when otherwise not able to.
I bought this for a dear friend of mine. We both love the product: it's so much more wholesome to light up the lamp and see it change color after a couple of minutes than to send a text saying "Thinking of you". It is the perfect gift for someone you are very fond of but who's out of reach. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to everyone. That being said a couple of things that could be improved: - Creating a custom timer would be nice and seems no effort at all. 30min is rather short, 1.5h is rather long. 1h Would be perfect. - Not being able to pair 1 lamp with multiple "groups" of people seems silly and detrimental. I'm certain technically there can't be much that prevents this. - When I first came across these lamps you had the option to buy a cheaper version or the more expensive one-step setup version. When I finally bought it, only the one-step version was still there. I must say the one step setup is not worth the extra 20$ per lamp! First of, it didn't work. So I had to use the regular way anyway, which, by the way, is *super* easy. And even if it had worked, I would still prefer the regular way because it saves you using an extra outlet + extra router slot. It seems a bit avaricious to me that they don't offer the regular version anymore. Especially as I later found out that my lamps were originally not even meant to be onestep-setup, but sold with the extra equipment later on. So now I have 2 onestep-setup devices laying around that I couldn't even use.
