There's something so still and meditative about a walk in the woods: the infinite variety of shimmering leaves, the sound of running water in a babbling brook. This handcrafted soap dish from ceramicist Jenny Anna Stevens brings some of that soothing, woodland spirit to your lather routine. Stevens and her sons explore the slopes of the North Georgia Mountains, selecting the most perfect oak leaves. Back home in the studio, those leaves are pressed into clay, cut out, and allowed to dry. Then they are kiln fired, burning away the leaf but preserving its unique "fingerprint." The dish is then dipped in glaze and fired again to give it a natural, dappled beauty. Handmade in Georgia.
