One day after reading an article on the bending radius of oak and finding an old wooden ruler in my storage, I became obsessed with trying to bend wood (happened eventually) and that led to a budding small business. I fell in love with the wood bending process and progressed, creating Art of Plants where I incorporate my bended sculptures and topiaries with plants. The process starts with milling the wood to workable pieces before it enters the steaming process. The steaming process has approximately two to four steps that allows the wood to become heated and saturated to different levels. Once the wood is bent, it is left to set and dry prior to the finishing stage.
