These sophisticated cufflinks display some of the rich history of American design. They are made from vintage Indian head pennies, minted from 1859 to 1909. On the front is a woman's face, which artist James Barton Longacre based on a statue of Venus that was on display in Philadelphia, adorned with the headdress of a Native American warrior. The reverse side of the coin features a wreath of laurel leaves. Designer Ward Wallau mounts sterling silver swivels on alternate sides, allowing both halves of the design to be seen. The pair comes in a gift box with a Certificate of Authenticity. Made in the USA.
