It's been a lot of fun doing this. It's easy and doesn't need a lot of room.
I purchased this for valentines day for my boyfriend, who loves to cook. He loved the the gift, but after I had to explain it to him. The one down side to this gift is that it does not say anywhere on the packaging " make your owner marinara kit", so it does just look like a bunch of seeds for planting. I think this should have at least somewhere on the packaging, and it would make a little more sense. Finally, I think another nice touch would be a recipe included for the marinara sauce. Overall, happy with the gift.
It is advertised so well on the website as "Make Your Own Marinara Kit" but when you receive the product there is no mention of Marinara. So, given as a gift, you have to be there in person to explain to the receiver the purpose of the products. They will not get the "make your own marinara " part on their own,. Cool idea. I just wish the packaging was more clear for gift giving purposes.
Probably a good product but delivery failed.
Gave this as a present to my boyfriend's mother. She liked it!
I got this as a gift so not sure how it will turn out but thought it was a great idea. Only downside is no where on the actual package does it say that the kit is for making marinara-I didn't see instructions for making the sauce??
Quality product - everything grew healthy and strong.

Nice concept, but would like to see decorative small pots, pasta bowl, or a package of pasta included.

I have a business associate that is a gardener, and I was so excited to find this item--she's getting it for a Christmas gift this year! No more run-of-the-mill Starbucks gift cards! It's perfect because it's practical, thoughtful, AND useful!
My husband fancies himself both a chef and a gardener, but in reality we don't have too much time available to be either. This set was a perfect gift for his birthday, allowing him to grow his own ingredients for his beloved marinara. Being able to grow inside is a bonus since we live in an area populated with deer. The cute little bags sit well to grow your mini garden in, and when the plants get big enough to need a new home, it should be very easy to cut - allowing you to move the plants without much damage.
