Hundreds of years of jewelry history and innovation are strung together in this eye-catching necklace. The pebble-shaped pieces were inspired by Pre-Colombian beads brought to life centuries ago. The 24k gold-plated bronze nuggets were cast from actual artifacts using lost-wax method. Also called cire perdue, this traditional casting method involves pouring molten metal into a mold that has been created from a wax model. Providing a contemporary counterpoint are teal "stones" glimmering with gold flakes. These frosted resin pieces are made from upcycled wood remnants salvaged from lumber yards. 24k gold-plated bronze chain. Designed by mother-daughter team Tulianna and Alejandra Garces. Handmade by artisans in Colombia.
Due to the handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.
