Growing houseplants can be a prickly subject. Fortunately, this potted cactus doesn’t need much other than a sunny spot and a good watering every few weeks to thrive. Cultivated with love by Roy Paar and Milana Naumenko, the gold lace cactus (also called a copper king lady finger) is as resilient as it is pretty, making it a fun gift for anyone who’s ever claimed they can’t keep plants alive. (Even if that person is you!) Grown in Miami Beach, Florida.
PS While not all cacti are sure to bloom, there’s a chance that pink or yellow blossoms might appear in the spring. Consider it a botanic bonus.
