“I'm a believer in the seemingly impossible— to take a thought or idea and bring it to life. By supporting your local artists, you support the ongoing existence of many who produce items that would otherwise remain just an idea.”
It only took one art class in grade school to hook Karla Walz. She's dabbled in all sorts since then, from charcoal sketching to needlework, and finally discovered stained glass in her early 30s. "I loved the challenge from the start," she recalls. "There are so many intricate steps involved in making each piece, and it is always different." So, she combined her love of natural objects and art that could be used and appreciated to create beautifully functional pieces like her geode wine glasses. They are now collected and enjoyed by many. Karla lives and works in Flower Mound, Texas with her husband and two kids.
