A Love Carved in Stone

Celebrate anniversaries (the 9th year's traditional gift is pottery) or wish newlyweds well with this beautifully detailed and customized dish. Ideal either as decor or for serving up family meals for years to come, each piece is hand-thrown brown stoneware clay layered with a white slip, a Korean technique called Buncheong developed during the mid-twelfth century. The artist then hand carves floral designs and elegant personalized calligraphy, and finishes the piece with a celadon green glaze. Handmade by Seowoon Oh in Connecticut.

Due to the handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.

Comments about UncommonGoods Flower Carving Custom Wedding Bowl:

This bowl is beautiful. I have ordered a few of these (not just from this maker) and gift recipients love it. Personalization is always a special touch. My only surprise this go around was I was expecting the bowl to be a bit bigger. It is still beautiful but wish it had been a tad bigger for what I paid.

    Service and delivery comments:

Delivery took a long time so be prepared for that. They are custom made so I understood but I wouldn't wait until the last minute to order as a gift.
