Rooted in Love

Love is always in bloom on this beautifully handmade dish. A charming heirloom gift for celebrating anniversaries or newlyweds, each hand-thrown brown stoneware piece is layered with a white slip, a Korean technique called Buncheong developed during the mid-twelfth century. The artist then adds an intricate floral pattern to the inside of the dish and personalized details to the outside rim by expertly hand-carving each detail. Handmade by Seowoon Oh in New Jersey.

Due to the handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.

Absolutely Beautiful!

My best friend recently got married. I had the honor of officiating their wedding. I was looking for the perfect gift and found it in this Leaf Carving Wedding Bowl. I can not put into words how beautiful and touching this bowl is. It is expertly hand crafted. The wedding couple found it so touching that it is both made by hand and personalized to them. The bowl includes a story of the maker which added an extra personal touch that the bride and groom loved. I highly recommend this for a gift to any newly wed couple. 10 out of 10 would buy again.

Nice bowl but...

I had the distinct impression from the marketing photo that this bowl would have a sgraffitto surface and it does not...it is a glossy finish bowl with a drawn image on the glaze.
