“I usually end with the leaves, which is such a rewarding step because I'm always surprised at how much green makes everything pop.”
As the daughter of a parent in the Navy, Meredith Gordon not only moved around the US but also to tropical locales. Surrounded by the stunning flora found on islands like Bermuda and the Philippines, the self-proclaimed creative soul naturally found herself painting it. Flowers have remained a focal point throughout her artistic endeavors, including interior design, murals, furniture, and cake decorating. It was a job painting flowers on wine glasses at special in-store events, though, that led her to create her own collection of glassware, which features a botanical garden’s-worth of vibrant blooms that she creates in her Massachusetts studio.
