As the daughter of a parent in the Navy, Meredith Gordon often found herself surrounded by the stunning flora of tropical islands. Naturally, it found its way into her artistic work, including these hand-painted stemless glasses. Great for both red and white wine, the four flowers in the set—sunflower, stargazer lily, tiger lily, and purple hibiscus—appear on both sides and make it easy for guests to avoid glass mix-ups.
Though the process for each flower is different, Meredith paints layer by layer, and says she usually ends with the leaves, "which is such a rewarding step," she says, "because I'm always surprised at how much green makes everything pop."
Meredith uses non-toxic enamel paint and seals and heat-cures it for added durability. Glasses manufactured in New Jersey. Hand-painted in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
