Hi, so I am about to go into school and my backpack gets thrown around a little, would this water bottle be able to handle it? Or would it break? Also, how big is the hole you drink out of? Thanks!

While this is a sturdy bottle, it is still glass, so you should plan on being gentle with it. The insert has a sipping lid, and the hole is a standard size. Alternately, you can remove the insert and drink from the bottle as you would a regular drinking glass.

how do you drink the water? do you have to unscrew the top and take it off or does it have an opening in the top that you can drink from without unscrewing the top?

Description says 20oz. Does that refer to the volume left after the infuser is full or is that the total volume possible? If it is the total volume, what is the fluid volume remaining with the infuser full?

Thanks for the question! It looks like we actually made a mistake when we added our product description, so thank you for helping us catch it! The bottle holds 16 ounces of liquid, but that doesn't account for space taken up by the fruit and herbs you add. Depending on how much good stuff you pile in the middle, the bottle usually holds around 10 ounces of water.

As this product is made with glass, how durable is it for travel, possible dropping? Break easy? I have glass water bottle but it had a rubber around it for production.

How does the fruit flavors infuse into the water exactly?

We can't answer it scientifically, but practically speaking, the fruit, or whatever you put in the inner, slotted container (the infuser), is surrounded by the water that comes in through the slots. The water next to the fruit it starts to take on the flavor of whatever you put in the infuser. And it tastes good!
