A Mushroom With a View
This felted mushroom birdhouse is a real flight of fancy. Capped off with its polka dot roof and a neighborly worm popping out of the chimney, this cheery piece of real estate will look right at home hung up in any cozy nook or window. It can also be hung outside from its braided hemp cord as a functioning birdhouse, and should maintain its structure for at least one year. The wool is naturally water resistant and will dry quickly if it does become wet. The 1.25" dia. opening is a welcoming size for wrens, chickadees, titmice and bluebirds, or birds may collect the natural fibers to line their nests elsewhere. This adorable little house is created by skilled, fair trade artisans in Kathmandu, Nepal, from hand-felted wool and hand-died woolen yarns.
