Hi,
Isn't it amazing how your mom is always there to catch you when you fall? This bronze, sculpted figurine bracelet and matching necklace celebrate your unbreakable familial bond by linking your choice of up to three children. Each piece is individually forged, soldered, cast and cold-connected by metalsmiths John & Linda Whitney in Florida.
Bracelets available with your choice of 1, 2 or 3 children in any combination of boys and girls.
Due to the handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.
Made in Florida
“Experimentation is the true force behind our designing.”
As an art student at University of Kansas in the 1970’s, John Whitney would sketch his future wife Linda’s orchestra rehearsals and quartet workshops. Gathering inspiration from the alluring sounds and sleek structure of the instruments, John turned the drawings into sculpted figures using traditional metalsmith techniques. Today, John and Linda design their one-of-a-kind creations together in Sarasota, Florida. With the help of their studio assistant, and their perky Havenese “art dogs,” they invent, forge, and stretch the possibilities of their beloved craft.

Comments about UncommonGoods Family Bracelet:
I purchased this bracelet with one girl charm for myself for Christmas as it looked pretty in the photo. It definitely is unique and I like the handmade elements very much. I don't understand, however, why the non-handmade elements (connecting chain, clasps) that were used are made out of cheap gold-tone craft store materials? The gold color had already worn off the lobster claw clasp when the product arrived so the bracelet, which is an interesting mix of fire-braised brass or bronze; has a worn, silver colored clasp. The gold on the chain sections connecting the handmade elements looks to be wearing off too. The small clasp connecting the girl charm to the bracelet is so small and flimsy, it feels like it would come undone at the slightest bump. I have a feeling this charm will be lost pretty quickly.
I purchased this item on sale, but I'm very surprised by the quality given the original price listed. Three stars only because the handmade parts of the piece are great.
It's in my Christmas stocking now, but unfortunately I think this will be going back.

beautiful, special hand made bracelet with unique bronze coloring. Love this, however you need to be especially careful that the little charms don't get stuck or pull.

Comments about UncommonGoods Family Bracelet:
Although the bracelet seem unique the label "Family Bracelet" led me to believe figures for the parents were included in the base and the children were additions. Perhaps, it was my lofty expectations but to me the label led me to believe parents figures are part of the base bracelet. Overall, I like the bracelet and just wish parents figures were either included or have it as addition just like the children.
