Be A Generous Sipper

It was an afternoon activity steeped in tradition, Malea Rhodes' wheel-thrown porcelain infuser mug in hand. Both pieces feature charming hand-carved details--colorful ombre, scalloped edges and whimsical florals--and fit together for simple straining. Designed for easy cleanup so you can practice another tradition: nap time. Handmade in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Due to the handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.

Made in Massachusetts

“When I finally took the plunge to expand my studio and quit my day job, that was possibly the scariest and most exciting time of my life.”

Malea Rhodes fell in love with working with clay in college at East Carolina University. In the sculpture program, she took a clay class to complete curriculum requirements. She ended up participating in the ceramics department annual mug sale and it was then that she realized that people could use an object she made with her own hands in their every day lives.

She now owns a small clay collective in Northampton Massachusetts where she rents space to other potters and teaches lessons on the potters wheel to share her passion for clay with others.
