Ben Gibson and Patrick Mulligan strive to "connect the dots" by compiling complicated data sets on a given topic of interest and then devising a graphic way to display it beautifully. They met while working at a publishing company, where Ben was a designer and Patrick was an editor. Both collaborated with authors to bring ideas to the printed page, but they had yet to work on anything that was fully their own. Their independent products combine deep research with beautiful design to take the head-spinning data of today's world and transform it into something clean, elegant, and comprehensive.

Nice gift for cyclists

Nice looking piece -- colors are attractive, standard size makes it easy to find pre-made frames. Lots of detail including the fact that each type of bike is labelled and there is a timeline on both side margins of the poster. The dates are approximate. The labels under each bike is very small font, as is the timeline, so it's not easy read unless you get real close.

Fun chart for a gift!

Cool chart. Purchased as a Christmas gift for my dad who is a bicycle enthusiast. Looks nice, but I felt it either should have been priced a little lower, or been a slightly higher paper/print quality.

I bought this poster for my sons' room. I framed and matted it and it looks fantastic. My only problem with it is it got bent a bit when I was trying to get it out of the packaging.

I am returning this product

I was disappointed that the writing and dates were too small and the the font was too light to read easily. I was looking to use this as a display piece but also to read and understand the history of bikes and it isn't easy to read the information. I was also disappointed in the paper used. Just unrolling the paper dented and creased the page because it is card stock instead of poster paper.

Bought this as a Valentine's/Housewarming gift for my boyfriend. He's an avid cyclist, and we had just moved into a 2 bedroom apartment where the smaller bedroom would be his office/workshop. He absolutely loves it and I love the quality of the paper it was put on. Wish it could have been a bit bigger because of all the details outlined in it, but that's okay. It'll be framed soon and hang on the wall in that room.
