Kyle Auga’s journey toward perfect balance began in his last year of college at Arizona State University. He wanted something to fiddle with at his desk, when he needed to rest his mind for a moment. He remembered some little balancing toys from when he was a kid, but when he went looking for a higher quality, grownup version, he couldn’t find one. So, he decided to make one himself. His first effort took 12 hours to make, and was less than beautiful, but it started him on a creative quest. He began to make more and more balancing figures, and ideas continued to flood into his mind. As he works, he is continually upgrading both his skills and his tools, allowing him to master the art of crafting charming kinetic sculptures.
