Natural Beauty

This piece was inspired by a summer spent working on a "dude ranch" just outside of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. On her day off, artist Renée Leone would drive for hours exploring the Wild West. Scenic Red Lodge, Montana, became one of her favorite and most frequented destinations on these leisurely drives. These experiences out West were eye opening at this point in Renee's life. With their beauty came the artist's realization about how important wide-open spaces were to her, her art, and her personal well being.

Part visual travel journal, part diary, artist Renée Leone's vibrant series of geographic watercolor paintings offers entrancing vistas as seen through the artist's eyes and felt through her heart. Renée combines her affinity for the geometric patterning used in textiles, mosaics, and stained glass to create personal home and building portraits that depict not only what she saw in a particular location, but, more significantly, what she felt.

Made in Chicago and hand signed.

Renée Leone's vibrant geographic watercolor paintings offer entrancing vistas as seen through the artist's eyes and felt through her heart. Part visual travel journal, part diary, her collection of images represent chapters of the Chicago-based painter's life, culminating in an artistic journal depicting the places she has been and the experiences she has encountered along the way. She combines her affinity for the geometric patterning used in textiles, mosaics, and stained glass to create personal home, nature, and building portraits that depict not only what she saw in a particular location, but, more significantly, what she felt.

Gorgeous print with lots of great colors. We spent lots of time in Red Lodge and have driven the Beartooth Highway many times. This is a great reminder for us and beautifully done. Can hardly wait to hang this in our new house!

This picture is even prettier in person! While I originally thought I'd have liked it bigger, it actually seems perfect at this size. It's on a wall in my office and is a great accent piece. Love the colors :)

Stunning artistry. We have done the drive from Yellowstone to Red Lodge over the Beartooth Range of the Rockies. This painting is an abstract and appealing depiction of the captivating natural beauty. Our family truly enjoys this artist's imaginative stylings. This is our second purchase from this talented artist.
