The Sweet Smell of Success

Coaxing flower seeds to flourish isn't always easy, but you can enjoy the sweet smell--and taste--of success with this edible flower growing kit. These heirloom flower seeds were selected because they're easy for the novice gardener to grow successfully, indoors or out, in almost any US climate.

Each kit includes four varieties of heirloom seeds in glass vials, a custom, laser-engraved wood block to hold the seed vials and display fresh flowers when empty, biodegradable paper pots for seed starting, seed starting soil, and a poster with instructions, a harvest recipe, and a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson: "Earth Laughs in Flowers."

Handmade by Sarah Rainwater in Providence, Rhode Island.

Made in Rhode Island

Sarah studied Art History and Computer Science before settling on a career in design. Most of her products start with a very simple – sometimes even commonplace — idea, but always with a unique twist. Her products are easy to use and accessible, but designed in a way that stands out. She likes things that are a little strange, humorous, or unexpected. That doesn't always come out in the final product, but it’s usually a part of the thinking behind it.
