Thin, round, and, when you first get it, flat, this shiny little brass tray is not as simple as it first appears. Push the disc to bend it—the metal's mathematically patterned precision cuts make it malleable—shaping it almost as if it were clay. Unlike clay, though, it sparkles like a piece of jewelry, each separate golden bit catching a different piece of the light. The more it stretches, the more the spaces between the metal grow, until it looks almost like lace. It's charming, and useful (as a catchall for jewelry and other little things), and we've never seen anything like it before. Designed in Germany. Made in Italy.
