Just Buy a Tie & Fabric Paint

The rub-on-ink does not transfer to the tie very well. You're better off buying a tie and fabric paint and DIY.

Epic Fail

1

I have never been so disappointed in a product as I was with this one. My daughter is celebrating her first Valentine's Day this year, and I thought it would be cute to commemorate it by giving her daddy a pink tie with her footprints on it. Let me state for the record that she is almost 1 year old and we have done many craft projects involving hand and/or foot prints throughout her first year. The ink pad is WAY too small and it's hard to transfer the ink on to little feet. What's worse is that it's even harder to transfer the ink from her feet to the tie. It really wound up looking like a greasy splotch versus foot prints on the tie. There's no way I can give this to my husband. It's a total mess!!! I am sure it's too late to send it back to get a refund, which sucks since it costs a LOT considering the quality (plus shipping)!!! What a total waste. :(

Daddy loved it!

Daddy loved this gift from his little five month old "mister mister" Another reviewer said the ink pad was too small but I had no issue with rubbing it on his hands and feet as if it was a large stamp. I would suggest if you have an active one to try this when they are asleep or nursing because with our little guy being awake it we go some smudges. Don't go into thinking Daddy will wear it all the time, it really is just a keepsake. Although our daddy may just wear it four our little guy's first birthday!

Very Nice Idea

This is a Christmas gift for a friend who is a new dad. I took the tie out of the package to examine it and I am very impressed with the quality. Not sure yet how the whole thing will work since I'll leave it to him and his wife to capture the hand and foot prints, but I loved the idea and I hope it is something he will be proud to show off.

Great Tie....Didn't Use the Ink

I got this for my husband's first Father's Day. The included ink pad was too small for my baby's feet or hands. Hence, I purchased Fabric Paint and used that. My baby and I had a great time adding her prints to the tie, and Daddy loved his gift.

Unique Gift for 1st Father's Day

Thought this was a unique and fun gift for my husband's first father's day. I was able to ink our daughter's footprints and our dogs paws on the tie and present it to him w/breakfast. Special and fun. A gift he'll be able to look at when she's grown and still see her lil feet.

Very cute!

This tie is adorable. It is a little messy and not so easy to do. You also need some sort of guard to keep the prints on the tie and not smudge!

New Grandpa LOVED it!

We bought this gift for my dad for father's day since his first grandchild was born a day before father's day. It was a bit too pricey but couldn't resist. I recommend practicing stamping the baby's feet/hands on a scrap paper/cloth first because we didn't and smudged the hand print which I thought ruined the tie. Unfortunately we tried to get part of the ink out and ended up staining the tie (100% silk) so we made it even worse. We pondered buying another tie to redo it, but Grandpa liked it the way it was so we ended up leaving it alone. I also recommend printing hands/feet while baby is well asleep because he was knocked out the entire time and behaved beautifully for the whole ordeal. Overall, a great, cute gift though!
