As a child, Betz White was surrounded by sewing, embroidery, and knitting. She studied fashion design at the University of Cincinnati, and quickly found a job in corporate apparel design. When Betz became pregnant with her first child, she decided to carve her own career path. Today, she's the author of three books on sewing, and runs her own independent design business. With everything she makes, Betz finds ways to be kind to the environment, such as using recycled materials in her cotton baby blankets. She lives with her family and creates one-of-a-kind designs in Maryland.
