Endless Sunset

It took obsessive doodler turned self-taught artist Gregg Visintainer 60-80 hours to create this irresistible, vibrant portrait of a beach sunset in his native California. At first glance, one sees a classic wooden lifeguard tower on an end-of-day beach facing a brilliant sky. But hidden in the artist's dazzingly intricate, painstakingly drawn lines are pictures and words embodying many of the state's other important and beloved elements. It can take days to find them all! Discover flip-flops, sunglasses, a sailboat, a dolphin, and seagulls, plus words such as sun tanning, relax, bikini, fishing, surfing, jellyfish, tide pools, cooler, and The Golden State.

Gregg Visintainer is an extreme doodle artist whose unique artwork contains hidden pictures, words, and messages. He started as a 15 year-old self-taught artist. Drawing was his way to pass time in school and express how he felt. At 21, Gregg moved to San Diego. As a way to get through some difficult times, he reconnected with his love of art. Gregg's work is all hand drawn using pen and ink. It takes him an average of 60-80 hours to complete each piece.

Best gift ever! Hidden pictures and words throughout the whole piece. Even found the California state outline that is hidden across the whole print. Can't believe this is all done by hand! Steady and what patience. Hats off to the artist.
