Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. We recently stuck it up on the wall, and were SO pleased with how it looks - until it kept falling off! It looks so great though, but we were pretty disappointed with the quality. If the company improves it, I would give it better marks for sure.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my brother, who is a geographical fanatic. He also lives in a tiny NYC apartment, so I needed something both cool and practical. I found this a couple months ago and thought it was the PERFECT gift! Purchased it, and when he opened it on Christmas day, he was initially thinking the same thing as me: "cool and useful!" Only, as we opened the bag the pieces came in, we realized some pieces seemed to be missing, and others broken or almost breaking. The cork also does not seem thick enough to even tack things on! I would say it's half a centimeter thick at the most. Purely an object for decoration, and NOT worth the price. Though a great idea, I'm disappointed in the product.

Hung my map Saturday morning. Woke up two days later to find Asia and Australia had fallen to the ground. Also noticed that the map pictured on Uncommongoods is a bit more detailed than the one I received. Moot point, of course, if the map doesn't stay on the wall. Very disappointed - it looked cool for the two days it was up!
It came in on time. but numerous pieces were broken. I emailed customer service requesting refund or replacement, and received no response. The pieces were extremely flimsy such that they broke at the slightest mishandle. I did not know that the pieces were adhesive such that they can only be used once because if you try to take it off the wall, I'm sure it would break. I ended up putting it in a frame because that's the only way that I can see that being reusable.

I was looking for a Christmas gift for a good friend of mine who loves maps of any type. This was a very unique gift and she absolutely loved it! I notice that almost anyone's eyes light up when they see a box labeled "Uncommon Goods".

This seemed like the perfect way to finish off my 11 year-old son's desk work station. However, the pieces started falling off the wall within 24 hours of putting them up. We tried to put them up again a few times but then everything fell off. The fragile cork edges broke off upon falling. I don't want to add new glue to the backs because I'm afraid that will destroy the wall but regardless, I won't put it up again because of the broken edges. It was a waste of money and frustrating, too.

The Canadian arctic archipelago is missing. This is a massive oversight and makes it not a map and an insult to Canada.
