The plate and utensils were a Christmas gift to my 3 yr. old nephew who is crazy about trucks and equipment. The food is disappearing, he does not get off the chair and is not distracted during meal time. He loves to use the "pusher" to move the food onto the fork. Great material and easy to clean. Would recommend to all picky eaters.

I thought these would be a creative way to get my son to eat (anything!). While the tools are extremely cool, he doesn't quite "get" that they're for eating. So, don't bother with little ones.

I'm guessing a slightly older child would appreciate them more.

My soon to be 2 year old nephew loves tractors and other construction equipment. He does NOT love to sit still and eat. This had been a huge help in getting him interested long enough to do so. Love it!

Comments about UncommonGoods Construction Plate & Utensils:

Nice design and durability. Would have like to have had a knife utensil as well.
Compartments could be a little bigger to be able to really use the "pusher."
Would have been nice to have had this sold as a plate/utensil set option as well for a small discounted price. IMO for children younger than 6.

My nephew is OBSESSED with construction themed toys and things. When I got this for him for Christmas, he immediately wanted to "play" with the fork and spoon! It was hard for him to sit still while eating, but now his mother says that he can't eat a meal without his construction plate and utensils!
