Your New Crush
You're all for Zero Waste. You refuse, reduce, reuse, and recycle—but still the trash bin fills up in no time. This sleek, fingerprint-proof steel bin eliminates almost everything that makes dealing with garbage unpleasant.
Opening the lid makes you feel squicky? Step on the sturdy foot pedal and up it pops. Have to take it out way too often? A simple, strong compactor mechanism crushes it to 1/3 its size; the bin can collect 24 gallons of rubbage-y stuff before you have to schlep its contents to the curb. Hate touching it, and cleaning the bin of icky leaks? The design ensures that only the outside of the liner bag ever touches the bin or compactor mechanism, never its contents; to make doubly sure, it has an anti-tear design that won't stretch or pinch the bag. (Any brand will fit, though the bin comes with three especially strong bags to start with.) A replaceable odor filter in the lid and four protective rubber feet on the bottom prevent smells and scratches.
Designers Richard and Anthony Joseph truly thought of everything—and then they tested the moving parts over 100,000 times to make sure it would keep working beautifully until Zero Waste is really real.
