A Cozy Design Team

If you want to tantalize a designer, give them an everyday problem in search of a solutionólike glasses that stick to coasters and then...thunk on the table or floor. "Surely, we can do better," Gary Bodker seemed to say, and his clever glass-meets-coaster design takes up that challenge. The handblown rocks glasses and natural cork bases may look inseparable, but their collaboration is only temporary. The cork keeps condensation and scratches off your table, but can be removed to clean the glass. Separate, the glasses stand on their own, but are always happy to be nestled into their cork counterparts. Give them to anyone who appreciates a modern approach to barware. Handmade in Portland, Oregon.

Due to the handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.

Made in Oregon

A native to New Jersey, Gary Bodker graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2009. Five years later, Bodker founded his business out of Portland, Oregon. The artist creates from a foundation of traditional, hand-blown glass techniques, taking much of his inspiration from mid-century and classical art glass periods. Bodker's work is clean, elegant, and timelessly modern with his use of color and the way in which his pieces diffuse light. In contrast, the time-honored lines of Bodker's compositions are reminiscent of more traditional periods, creating a balanced duality in his work. The artist prides himself on precision craftsmanship and simplicity, making his pieces fluid and delicate -- perfect for any decor. He continues to design and produce out of his Portland studio.
