During her freshman year studying fashion at the Parsons School of Design, Jill Davis realized her clothes were more like wearable sculpture than fashion. Wanting to stay at Parsons, she began exploring different departments. The day she walked into the glass studio and saw molten glass for the first time, her search was over. “Glass is the most challenging and rewarding material I have ever encountered,” says Jill. “You can’t bully it—you are perpetually persuading and coaxing the glass into shape. Even the best living master glass blowers cannot always get the glass to do what they want! It’s this feisty streak that keeps me enchanted.”

I bought the blue vase as a gift for my boss who regularly brings flowers from her garden for her office. I love that it looks hand-blown and unique. The glass was thicker than I expected, which was a nice surprise. I love the way the light shines through it! I gave it to her today and she seemed to really like. I included the little card that comes with it that describes the Christine vase.

I'm not sure why people complain about the height of the vase; it clearly is stated in the item description. That being said, I would love if there was also an larger vase for sale. I would love to have a set of varying heights.

I thought this vase was so beautiful and I bought it for my grandmother. When I opened it, it was the smallest thing ever. It is litterally like 7 inches tall. (Maybe 6in) You would need an very short flower, and don't expect to fit more than one. I would not have bought this item if I knew how small it was, however I do not intend to return, I feel that the shipping to receive and return this item would defeat the purpose so I might as well keep it and see what gram thinks.

Comments about Christine Vases:

I purchased this as a gift for a friend's birthday, and I will probably buy one for myself! It was a little smaller than I expected, but it didn't matter. It's a beautiful piece, and I recommend this for anyone that needs a little pick-me up everyday.

bought this little vase for my mom for mother's day. had it gift wrapped and shipped to her. arrived in plenty of time. she reports that the packaging was delightful. the vase is beautiful. she was absolutely thrilled - had flowers in it within minutes and has been taking it back and forth to work with her so she can look at it all the time (she's real cute).

This was give to our daughter who enjoys 'creating' flowers out of recycled materials. This will be the perfect way to showcase one of her creations.
