Chili con Crunch

Fair warning: this is not your granny's granola. Each bite is a flavor-bomb combo of garlicky, sweet, spicy, and umami—the sought-after, savory fifth flavor. Mix up your regular yogurt-and-granola routine, or try it on tacos, avocado toast, or any salad bordering on boring. Handmade in small batches by Peter Cortez, Joe Sayaman, Matt Ferrin, and Penny De Los Santos in Brooklyn, this granola is the poster child for the team's mission to spread the love of spice by infusing it into familiar foods.

Made in New York

Peter Cortez, Joe Sayaman, Matt Ferrin, and Penny De Los Santos are four friends who love food, spices, and experimentation. Their Chili Granola combines all three. Their mission is two-fold: first, to get even the least adventurous eaters to love spice by pairing it with the foods they already know and love; second, to help people understand that "spicy" is way more complex than simply "hot." They're super excited and thankful to all who want to take this spicy journey with them. They hand make each batch of their granola at Brooklyn Foodworks along with other innovative, supportive food-making folks.

Comments about UncommonGoods Chili Granola:

This sounded so interesting, but I'm not sure I have figured out exactly how to make it shine. I have tried it with fruit and granola (as shown in the picture) and it was better with citrus than with mango. I still need to try it on a salad...

Comments about UncommonGoods Chili Granola:

This stuff is amazing! It's got just the right amount of heat....spicy, but doesn't leave your mouth on fire. I stirred it in to yogurt, and hummus, and sprinkled it on salad and avocado toast. It adds texture and pop to everything. Can't wait to receive more...ordering 2-3 jars next time!

A spicy suprising splash of flavor!

Comments about UncommonGoods Chili Granola:

I don't want to really call this a granola because while it's granola it's more of a crunchy chili topping for just about anything! We used on our eggs on salmon, in a bowl with yogurt and honey - the applications were endless! A must buy for anyone looking for a great gift for a foodie or anyone who is looking for something so spice up their palette!
