Spring Fling

For the Japanese, delicate pink cherry blossoms represent the transience of life, for these fragile flowers bloom for such a short period at the start of spring. Using a canvas of sturdy stoneware, Gina DeSantis captures these storied blooms in a lasting homage that will be cherished year round. A pastel base flowering with a rich silhouette of blossoms is parted by swaths of smoky, translucent glazes, evoking the vulnerability and perennial rebirth of the botanicals depicted. Handcrafted out of stoneware in Ohio.
