Purrlitzer Prize

There was Bootsie Mitten, who went from suburban Connecticut exile to Manhattan's Harvard Club mouser-in-residence. Purrisphere, who chose the New York World's Fair's Perisphere to birth four kittens. And Cyril Maude, whose owners set up a tree in their city living room to make their country pet feel more at home. You'll find these stories and more in this coffee table ode to headline-capturing felines, which features New York Times articles between 1872 and 1965, plenty of full-page photos, and all the news that's fit to paw print. Comments about UncommonGoods Cats of the Times:

The friend I bought this for quite enjoys cats (as do I). Prior to wrapping this, I flipped through it myself and was delightfully pleased with the layout - and the idea in general! My friend loved it as well; what a great find.

It's easy to read for all ages, but still informative and enjoyable. Great to see stories about cats from so long ago. And the pictures were a nice bonus. :)
