It's a cute product, easy to assemble and light weight. Still trying to show my kitty he can get in there. He's large, so had to cut opening larger.
The box came in terrible shape, it was hard to assemble, and my eight pound cat crushed it in moments.
Bought this for my brother and so far his cat loves it. Pretty much as described and made out of sturdy cardboard. Cannot speak to long term use yet.

My dear cat now has an even cozier, comfier spot in my (doorless) closet, where he has always taken his midmorning, midafternoon, and early-evening naps. Now my dresses and slacks don't have to be de-haired before I wear them! And it looks cute tucked away in there.

We have one cat who loves to chew cardboard. He's chewed boxes and paper pad backing. So when he got this, his eyes lit up like it was Christmas. He loves to sit in there and occasionally chew off a bit, but it's big enough it will take him awhile! What I love is that there are holes of various sizes placed around the box, so one cat can get inside and play with another one outside, which is something our cats do regularly. They love the thing. Probably not big enough for two cats to lay in unless they're smallish or like to curl up. It wasn't that easy to put together, but not horrible either. If you're considering this, you'll be able to figure it out. It's light enough to carry around easily, and our cats really like it.

As do many felines, my kitties love cardboard, especially boxes. I purchased this "chalet" for their 3rd birthdays. They "assisted" with construction and as soon as completed took turns in, out, on the playhouse. Yes, they are chewing the doorway to a larger size and yes, there is chewed cardboard all over the room --- but they just knew this was for them and they just love it! Such a simple item and so many hours of fun! I'm sure I'll get another within the year.
Two of my three cats love playing in cardboard boxes, so I thought the cat chalet would be perfect for them. As soon as I finished constructing it, they all squeezed in to check out their new hiding space and have been obsessed with it ever since! However, the instructions aren't entirely clear, so it takes a bit of trial and error to set it up properly. Be careful when you build the roof, as the pre-cut slots tear easily. Also, the holes cut into the back aren't very useful if you have the chalet set up against a wall. I cut additional holes into the sides so the cats can stick their paws through and play with each other. The chalet comes with a corrugated mat intended for the cats to lay on while enjoying their hiding space, but I swapped it out for a soft blanket to make it more comfortable. Overall, it's a great product with a very innovative design. Highly recommended.
Our kitty loves hanging out in cardboard boxes. I was getting tired of seeing them in our living room, but know it gives the kitty a good hiding/lounging spot. This chalet is the perfect compromise. She loved it immediately, but it is cute to look at. Really adorable for my spoiled kitty.
Our cat loves her new home! She immediately felt comfortable inside. We were worried that at 16 lbs she may have some problems fitting but she gets in/out fine without adjusting the opening. Although she doesn't play much with the given toys, she loves peeking out of the windows in the back. As another reviewer suggested, we added a blanket to the chalet and she has really loved the addition. Definitely made with cats in mind!
This was a gift for my brother whose cat always hides when company comes to visit. Gizmo went inside the chalet even before he was finished putting it together. Now she has a safe spot to go to in the living room when he has visitors and I get to see that he really does have a cat.
