black sheep vs. white sheep ornaments - set of 2
- the story
Sheep get a pretty tough rap. People call them followers, they say they've got a herd mentality, and that they're too sheepish to be themselves. That's what everyone said, until one little lamb grew up to be a sheep whose individuality no one could shepherd. This little black sheep shows that standing out from the herd isn't necessarily a "baaad" thing, especially when it comes to decorating your home!
Behind these adorably plump ornaments is a heart-warming initiative, one that gives its makers the the opportunity to have economic and social independence by expanding their abilities and by creating new markets for their goods. Handmade by the Aymara and Quechua women from the Lake Titicaca area in Southern Peru.
