November color didn't quite match the picture

The pendant itself is a good size and the chain is not too long. The clasp is a little difficult to put on by yourself, but manageable. The color, however, is not as vibrant as the picture led it to be. I got November, and it's not as bright red as it looks in the picture. It's more of that burnt orange Topaz color. Which I should have expected because I know that's the November birthstone, but the picture they chose I think is misleading. Still I can wear it with a bunch of different tops because it's neutral enough. #sweepstakes

To be truthful I should have retuned this item

I purchased two of these Birth Month Flower Necklaces to give as Christmas gifts. Initially I was excited about the purchase, but was sorely disappointed once they arrived. This was true deception. The advertisement that drew me in to make a purchase was glossed up and the flower look full and vibrant. What I received looked as if it was diy craft done with construction paper. I really should have retuned it. I pulled it out again today thinking that I could just bite the bullet and give my nieces this gift but was quickly disappointed all over again.

The dimension of the pendant is .79" L x .79" W and the necklace comes with an 18'' chain but you can take it to your local jeweler to transfer the pendant to a shorter chain if it's too long. The blue flower, a Carnation, is January. The purple flower, a Paperwhite Narcissus, is December. To view each month's flower, choose a month in the pull down menu. Each choice reveals a different image. The name of the flower is in the details.

The necklace has a dried, pressed bud captured in a resin pendant for each particular birth month flower. Set in a silver-plated brass bezel, with a sterling silver chain. For an example January: Carnation (China) - represented by Achillea millefolium.
