Ben Gibson and Patrick Mulligan strive to "connect the dots" by compiling complicated data sets on a given topic of interest and then devising a graphic way to display it beautifully. They met while working at a publishing company, where Ben was a designer and Patrick was an editor. Both collaborated with authors to bring ideas to the printed page, but they had yet to work on anything that was fully their own. Their independent products combine deep research with beautiful design to take the head-spinning data of today's world and transform it into something clean, elegant, and comprehensive.

This person is "impossible to buy for"

5

My daughter's boyfriend is an awesome human, and very hard to buy for. Even she has trouble so could not help me. He has very specific tastes and is a minimalist. I knew he was fast becoming a beer officianado and I saw this and thought it would be perfect. He loved it. Right after the holiday he went out and got it framed and initially he spent almost an hour just perusing it on the couch. Turns out my daughter had bought him a beer making kit so this fit right in. It arrived earlier than expected and well-packaged for protection. My daughter has even spent time studying it.
