Here are some helpful tips on how to best use your Banana-Saving Hats!
- These hats are most effective on banana bunches of 2+.
- If possible, keep your bananas separated from any other ripening fruit.
- When you apply the hat, it is really important to make sure to pull the silicone cap as far down the crown of the banana bundle as possible. It should feel quite snug and secure on top of the banana crown.

These are useless
I bought these cuties and tried them right away. The cup is one finger small (despite my small hands)…way too small to fit over the end of a small bunch of bananas. I wrestled one on, then found that the stretched cap was now too short to cover the banana ends sufficiently. In the meantime, the magnet covering came off repeatedly. I read the positive reviews before buying but my experience was negative. Also, the sturdy, yellow cap in the picture was actually a thin, too small, banana condom.

They work great!
These work great! We have tried other ways of making our bananas last including wrapping the stem in different things like saran wrap, foil, etc and nothing really helped. I finally bought these and our 2 bunches of bananas now last more than the week between grocery trips.

I bought these as a gifts. They loved them. When I returned for myself, they were all gone, no indication either way of returning. Information like that is important to me. Actually, many things were out of stock when I returned to purchase several items. Many others were no longer on sale. :-(

Nana Hats kept bananas fresh 4 days longer!
First - these Nana Hats are totally adorable. I bought the Unicorn & Viking set. Second - I put a Nana Hat on a 3-banana bunch and sat them on the counter next to a single banana bought the same day (and a similar ripeness). 4 days later, the single one needed to be eaten or it would be over ripe while the Nana Hat bunch were only slightly more ripe than when I bought them. The Nana Hats were well worth the price and a smile on the kitchen counter is always a good thing. #sweepstakes

So cute and fun but not effective.
I love these little guys and they make me smile. Unfortunately, they did not help keep bananas fresh. I tested a bunch - 3 with a hat and 3 without. Both went brown at the same time actually the bananas without the hat were better.

Cute and They Work
Nothing will prevent a banana from overripening indefinitely, but these do slow the process. And they are cute in the process. As the cap is stretched in the process it can rip over time, but they work well enough that we reordered replacements.
