The best mosquito repellant. Ever.
Cat the mosquito hater
In general I try to steer clear of all scents, but that's just not a possibility when you want to repel mosquitoes. This fragrance is a bit strong, but it works well and in the scheme of smells is on the pleasant, though feminine, side. My main complaint is the packaging of this as a fragrance over its practical repellant usage. The fancy bottle, gold lettering, and cloth case that I immediately threw away all contribute to the high cost. I am not buying this as a fragrance, but rather a mosquito repellant. This bottle, used very conservatively in application, will total about 8-9 uses to spritz my arms and legs lightly, and a single squirt on the neck. As such, I can only really see using it when going to a fancy outdoor event where I don't want to smell like bug spray. Too bad - I'd like to use it more daily, as needed. BTW - I am a mosquito MAGNET so when I say it works, it works.
This product delivers - it both smells good and seems to work on repelling mosquitoes. BUT it is packaged in both quality (tiny cloth bag that will be discarded, and 24k gold lettering?!) and quantity as perfume, even though you need to use it as liberally as standard bug repellant. I have used it twice, rather conservatively at that, and have used about 25% of the bottle. I am both a mosquito magnet and tend to avoid any fragrances - a hard combo. I feel like this product needs to acknowledge its purpose and dial down the packaging, so more of the cost can be spent on increasing the quantity of the product. As such, I probably won't use this for daily needs and instead save it for outdoor parties where I know I will be eaten alive, but don't want to smell like standard bug spray.
I hate Deet as much as I hate mosquito bites. The stench of Deet is so unattractive ,especially when attending an upscale event, wedding, ship christening (?) or party. Aromafloge is very perfume like...do not spay inside though, it is quite strong .My friends borrowed a spritz or two and we had zero bites. It is too expensive to use on a daily basis.
