This stunning aspen leaf necklace takes more than seven hours to make, from harvest to the finished piece. Each one begins with a real aspen leaf, made semi-transparent through an intricate filigree process that exposes the lacy vein structure. Next, a delicate layer of copper is applied to each leaf to strengthen and preserve it. The leaves are then hand-dipped in antique gold, producing a lustrous finish that preserves the essence of nature's design. Suspended from a 14k gold fill chain, the golden leaf makes an elegantly organic statement paired with any ensemble. Handmade by Michale Dancer in Corte Madera, California.
