Stars And Lights

As American as apple pie, this rustic chandelier combines stars and stripes with the iconic Edison light bulb. Tiers of antique bulbs hang from a warmly weathered reclaimed wood flag, lending a patriotic finishing touch to your home.
Knowing invention is the mother of necessity, Cassidy Shulz Brush created this intriguing lighting design when she couldn't find a fixture to complete her office decor. She and her Brooklyn team work to refashion rescued and reclaimed materials into unique takes on illumination. Made in Brooklyn.

Due to the nature of the reclaimed material, we are providing the following warning with each chandelier, as required by law:

WARNING: This product may contain one or more chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer or to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm..

Cassidy Schulz Brush

Cassidy Schulz Brush’s career took an unplanned turn one day in fall of 2011 when the fashion industry sales executive needed a lighting fixture for her Brooklyn office. She couldn't find one that met her vision of what she wanted so she designed and built an industrial-funky fixture out of a piece of 20x30 reclaimed plywood which she stained ebony and from which she hung 18 antique light bulbs. Cassidy called it an “Urban Chandy.” Little did the self-taught chandelier designer-builder know at the time that her unique chandelier would lead her into a new career as a lighting fixture entrepreneur. Today Urban Chandy fixtures are designed and made in Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill using a variety of rescued and reclaimed wood and other materials with a wide range of antique and Edison bulbs in the company’s Clinton Hill studio in Brooklyn.
