Takahide Sano was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1958. After receiving his diploma in Industrial Design from the Hongo High School in Tokyo in1976, he soon began to design audio-video and TV products for both the Japanese and export markets. In 1988 he moved to Milan, starting immediately as a junior designer and eventually, in 1990, began to work for himself. Takahide has also collaborated with art galleries around the world and has helped to design museum layouts.

I did not buy this, but I would REALLY like to make a recommendation. Keeping with tradition, this item really should be made of cast iron! And it would then make it induction-ready. I've been looking for something like this for years!!! *sob* But it is made of aluminum...
