Enter our new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncommongoods.com\/product\/citrus-and-ginger-tea-infusing-bottle?source=blog_Infuse-a-palooza\" target=\"_blank\">Citrus and Ginger Tea Infuser<\/a> \u2013 a unique to-go bottle with exchangeable attachments that allow you to enliven your teas with tang and spice. The infuser includes:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Steeping basket \u2013 perfect for loose leaf or bagged teas<br \/>\n\u2022 Reamer \u2013 get those juices flowing!<br \/>\n\u2022 Grater \u2013 a two-piece attachment that lets you flavor your tea while keeping the grated fibers locked away, (no floaters!)<br \/>\n\u2022 Bottom compartment \u2013 anything you can\u2019t juice or shred can be chopped up and placed in here.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s called the Citrus and Ginger Tea Infuser Bottle, but don\u2019t let the name limit you \u2013 a whole produce aisle of fruits, roots, and veggies awaits! I journeyed to my local grocery store and put five flavor fusions to the test.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncommongoods.com\/product\/citrus-and-ginger-tea-infusing-bottle?source=blog_Infuse-a-palooza\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-46355 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uncommongoods.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Photo1-650.jpg\" alt=\"Citrus and Ginger Tea Infuser | UncommonGoods\" width=\"650\" height=\"503\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Apple &amp; Coconut White Tea<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the steeper:\u00a0 1 pure leaf white tea bag, 1 large pinch of coconut flakes<\/p>\n<p>On the grater:\u00a0 1 crisp apple (I used a Pink Lady)<\/p>\n<p>Coconut flakes give this tasty infusion a little tropical flair. I used sweetened coconut, and honestly, I went a little overboard on the first attempt.\u00a0 Next time I\u2019ll buy unsweetened flakes, or, if I\u2019m feeling adventurous, a whole coconut that I can crack open and grate into my tea instead.<\/p>\n<p>As for the type of apple, the choice is yours.\u00a0 I recommend selecting something crunchy enough to use on the grating plate, and just a bit tart to balance out the sweetness of the coconut.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncommongoods.com\/product\/citrus-and-ginger-tea-infusing-bottle?source=blog_Infuse-a-palooza\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-46356 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uncommongoods.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Photo2-650.jpg\" alt=\"Citrus and Ginger Tea Infuser | UncommonGoods\" width=\"650\" height=\"525\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Carrot &amp; Ginger Green Tea<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the steeper:\u00a0 1 green tea bag<\/p>\n<p>On the grater:\u00a0 1 whole carrot, fresh ginger root to taste<\/p>\n<p>Careful &#8211; it\u2019s easy to get ginger-happy with this one. \u00a0The infuser\u2019s unique grater allows for a big kick of spice, while keeping the ginger root\u2019s dense fibers from floating in your tea.<\/p>\n<p>The carrot provides a light earthy and nutty flavor, but too much ginger can quickly overpower it.\u00a0 I only used one carrot, but you could easily go for two.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncommongoods.com\/product\/citrus-and-ginger-tea-infusing-bottle?source=blog_Infuse-a-palooza\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-46357 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uncommongoods.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Photo3-650.jpg\" alt=\"Citrus and Ginger Tea Infuser | UncommonGoods\" width=\"650\" height=\"581\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ginger &amp; Lime Green Tea<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the steeper:\u00a0 1 green tea bag<\/p>\n<p>On the grater:\u00a0 fresh ginger root to taste<\/p>\n<p>On the reamer:\u00a0 \u00bd of one large lime<\/p>\n<p>Ginger and lime \u2013 a zesty and delicious combination. \u00a0As with my previous recipe, what starts as a ginger hint can quickly escalate to a ginger SMACK, so grate at your own risk.<\/p>\n<p>The bold flavors in this infusion are perfect for a sleepy-morning wake up, or a mid-afternoon zing. (You can also chill your tea and add a splash of vodka for an evening elixir \u2013 I won\u2019t tell.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncommongoods.com\/product\/citrus-and-ginger-tea-infusing-bottle?source=blog_Infuse-a-palooza\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-46358 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uncommongoods.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Photo4-650.jpg\" alt=\"Citrus and Ginger Tea Infuser | UncommonGoods\" width=\"650\" height=\"547\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Kiwi &amp; Lime White Tea<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the steeper:\u00a0 1 pure leaf white tea bag<\/p>\n<p>On the reamer\/in the bottom compartment:\u00a0 \u00bd of one lime, 1 whole kiwi<\/p>\n<p>Warning \u2013 this one is messy, but worth it.<\/p>\n<p>Ever tried to juice a kiwi?\u00a0 I hadn\u2019t. Turns out it\u2019s more like smushing than juicing.\u00a0 To avoid the extra cleanup, I recommend chopping the kiwi into pieces, and placing them in the infuser\u2019s bottom compartment.\u00a0 They\u2019ll stay contained, but still give your tea a tangy dash.\u00a0 (Plus, you can eat the\u00a0tea-soaked kiwi bits later. They&#8217;re delicious.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncommongoods.com\/product\/citrus-and-ginger-tea-infusing-bottle?source=blog_Infuse-a-palooza\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-46359 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uncommongoods.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Photo5-650.jpg\" alt=\"Citrus and Ginger Tea Infuser | UncommonGoods\" width=\"650\" height=\"477\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Orange &amp; Grapefruit White Tea<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the steeper:\u00a0 1 pure leaf white tea bag<\/p>\n<p>On the reamer:\u00a0 \u00bd of one grapefruit, \u00bd of one orange (I used a Cara Cara navel)<\/p>\n<p>Summery, citrusy, and oh-so-tasty, this infusion would make a refreshing treat on a warm day.\u00a0 The grapefruit I bought was a little big for the reamer, so I recommend juicing slowly, over the sink.\u00a0 I\u2019m sure a regular orange would taste just as delicious, but I couldn\u2019t resist the lovely red color or the sweet cherry notes of the Cara Cara.<\/p>\n<p>I hope this inspires you to experiment with\u00a0concoctions of your own using our tea infuser.
