My hometown is\u2026 <\/strong>
\nHamburg, NYThe best customer interaction I\u2019ve had at UncommonGoods was\u2026<\/strong>
\nThis one is hard \u2013 there are a lot of memorable experiences. The ones that stick out the most are the ones where the customer went out of their way to thank me for doing something extra for them. It\u2019s our job to make our customers happy and it\u2019s always heartwarming to hear that our efforts are appreciated. One customer sent a photo of him and his friend holding a \u2018thank you\u2019 sign. It\u2019s hanging up in the customer service room right now.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m inspired by\u2026 <\/strong>
\nNew experiences. Trying something new and allowing yourself to sometimes be uncomfortable is the best way to truly experience life.<\/p>\n

When I\u2019m not working, I\u2019m probably\u2026<\/strong>
\nPlanning something \u2013 the next vacation, my budget, a to-do list. I\u2019m a planner; I just can\u2019t help it.<\/p>\n

An uncommon fact about me\u2026<\/strong>
\nI\u2019m a licensed skydiver but not a licensed driver. Does it also count that during one of my trips I used the following modes of transportation in one day? Taxi, bus, large plane, horse, small plane, boat, bike and walking.<\/p>\n

My favorite place to hang out in New York City is\u2026 <\/strong>
\nSunset Park. It\u2019s a great tiny neighborhood full of multi-generational families who spend all day at the community park playing together and socializing. Sunset Park has a great community feeling to it. Plus, the best tacos EVER can be found here. Trust me \u2013 they\u2019re amazing.<\/p>\n

My style is\u2026 <\/strong>
\nStyle? Not sure you can call what I have going on \u2018style\u2019. The rules are: I don\u2019t iron, I don\u2019t hand-wash, I don\u2019t use a hair dryer, I won\u2019t polish shoes. My clothes, shoes, and accessories need to be able to handle the rough treatment I dole out. I can always be dressed and out the door in 10 minutes.<\/p>\n

Working at UncommonGoods I\u2019ve learned\u2026 <\/strong>
\nThat it\u2019s OK to make mistakes. Really, it is. As long as you always make new mistakes. I\u2019ve also learned that it\u2019s OK to fail now and then. (\u2018Fail\u2019 is not a bad 4-letter word around here.)<\/p>\n

With a pile of stuff in front of me I would make\u2026 <\/strong>
\n(You\u2019re given a carpet square, a box of nails, an empty milk crate, ribbon, a small recycling bag of empty soup cans, and a houseplant of any variety you choose.)<\/em><\/p>\n
