Sarah Nicole Phillips is a Toronto-born interdisciplinary artist who now calls an industrial neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY home. She received her her MFA from Brooklyn College where she specialized in printmaking techniques. She has participated in several artist residencies including a year-long stint at the Lower East Side Printshop where she continues to teach. Sarah exhibits widely in Canada and the US and is a recipient of a Brooklyn Arts Council grant. She rides her bicycle all over New York City and draws artistic inspiration by the frenetic city life that hums around her. She unwinds by weeding her rooftop garden that overlooks elevated train tracks and a cement mixing facility. Images of flora from the garden have been known to appear in her collages.
