Maureen says: I'm a fashion designer from Israel. I've studied fashion at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art. And I've designed for big companies in Israel for several years until three years ago, when I've decided to become an independent designer. I live in Tel-Aviv; an amazing and inspiring city. Most of the time I use my bike to get from one place to another.
My brand is called FUSS which is the initials of: Free. Urban. Street. Style. [After designing a raincoat for biking] it occurred to me that the next thing I really needed for my bike rides was a water-resistant bag that was practical as well as beautiful. My goal was and still is, to create a comprehensive, designed fashion bike experience. Another thing that motivates me is the decision to increase bike riding over cars and minimizing air-pollution. It's a part of my own personal agenda to reduce damage to the world.
[To design this bag]I thought of all the options I wanted myself, such as: A light-weight bag with shoulder straps. I don’t like zippers, so it closes without one. Most importantly, I wanted the option to use it as a bike basket when the load is too heavy for my back during the ride. This bag can easily replace your everyday bag, and protect your stuff in case of rain. A few months after designing the bag I gave birth to a sweet baby girl, and realized that the bag I designed is also perfect as a diaper bag. So now moms and dads also buy it for themselves and their babies.<.br> FUSS is my dream; I want to create more Items for what I call: "the urban travelers". People, who love, live and feel a part of the city. Their look and style reflect that very same urban feeling.
Water resistant fabric, with Velcro straps and plastic accessories.
